WESTERN KENTUCKY SPEEDWAY
2008 STREET STOCK RULES

CAR:

1.  No clip cars, station wagons, convertibles or pickups
2.  Minimum stock wheelbase 101"
3.  minimum weight after race 3200 pounds.
4.  Aftermarket aluminum bodies allowed-stock appearing. No flat panel sides.  If it looks like a late model it's not legal.

ENGINES:

1.  GM in GM, Ford in Ford
2.  Engine may be set back.  Upper ball joint in line with #1 spark plug hole.
3.  All engines must have cast iron block and heads.
4.  Dome pistons OK.
5.  OEM, Dart, Bowtie or other cast iron hi-performance or aftermarket heads.
6.  Any HEI, Dual Point, NSD's ignition's.
7.  Roller rocker arms OK.
8.  All engines are subject to tear down by technical inspector at driver's expense.

CARBURETOR

1.  OPTIONAL.

FRAMES AND UNIBODY

1.  No clip cars.
2.  All frames and unibody structures must remain O.E.M. factory produced.
3.  Box tubing maybe used to repair rusted or damaged rear clip.  Repairs must be inspected and may be penalized by adding weight.

SUSPENSION
1.  One shock per wheel.  Racing shocks allowed.
2.  All springs must mount in stock location.  Springs size is Optional.
3.  Wedge-bolts allowed.
4.  Pull bars add 100 pounds.

TIRES AND WHEELS

1.  All cars may run Hoosier tires or any street tire DOT approved.  On 10" rim.
2.  May run bead Lock wheels
3.  Lug nuts must be a minimum of 1", studs 1/2" minimum.
4.  All tire brands and models must be approved by Technical Inspector.

BRAKES

1.  Cars must have functional brakes on all four wheels

EXHAUST

1.  Full length header.  Exhaust must exit behind firewall.

DRIVE TRAIN

1.  No Berts or Brinn TRANSMISSIONS
2.  All cars must have working reverse.
3.  Must have inspection hole for Torque Converter or Clutch.  No aluminum Flywheel
4.  360 degree driveshaft hoop is mandatory, installed on forward third of driveshaft.
5.  Driveshaft must be steel and stock for that car.  Driveshaft must be painted white.
6.  Ford 9" rear ends allowed.  Floater OK.
7.  No Quick Change rear ends.

FUEL AND FUEL CELL

1.  Fuel must be gasoline only.  Fuel cell must be inspected.
